Nikon's Service - not impressive

Recently I had to send my new Nikon D90 and it's 18-200 mm VR lens to the Nikon Service Center in NY. I had no idea it would take almost a month to resolve the lock issue I was having with the unit. It seems to be performing admirably now. The fact that all my equipment is brand new was a bit disheartening since this is my first venture into the Nikon platform (I used Canon exclusively for years previously). They ended up replacing the Silent Wave Motor of the lens. Communication and updates were very poor. I am just happy to finally have my camera back.
